George H. W. Bush Dies

George Herbert Walker Bush died Friday at the age of 94.

George W. Bush released a statement, saying for himself and his siblings, “Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died.”

“George H.W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for,” he said. “The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens.”

I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90s, when Bush was president, so I naturally attach a fair degree of nostalgia to that period and to Bush himself. Like Reagan, whose era he extended, Bush came across as a friendly, folksy, grandfatherly figure in public appearances, although I probably experienced his presidency most memorably through Dana Carvey’s hilarious impersonations on Saturday Night Live. These were typical mainstream political satire, in that appearance and mannerisms were the focus rather than anything substantive or actually worthy of critique. Most people are more likely to associate Bush with his “read my lips” statement or poor opinion of broccoli than with his tenure at the CIA, the attempted assassination of Reagan, or the invasion of Panama. Later, of course, when I became aware of Bush’s role as one of the key deep state operatives of the second half of the twentieth century, my nostalgia for those years would take on a different coloration; but, as with Reagan and Clinton, there is something superficially likable about Bush I to this day. I still sort of like Bush, even though I know he was a horrible person. By the time his sons had risen to national political prominence, I had sense enough to know they were crooks and bullshitters, and the post-9/11 decline in the American experience was impossible to ignore even if, as I was, you were politically disinterested. I think that, had it not been for the disruptions of 9/11 and the election of Obama, the oligarchical elite could probably have continued to scheme its way to our ruin with less intense popular scrutiny, even with the advent of the internet. The post-9/11 wars made no sense, and by the time you get the crash and bailouts and this fake black radical who wiggled his hips on Ellen getting elected in 2008, more dopey white guys like me were starting to perk up and think, wait, what the hell is happening to my country? If the elites had just kept putting forward seemingly boring old white guys like George H.W. Bush, I probably wouldn’t be nearly as “woke” as I am today.

On a pure surface level, I feel like, of course, Poppy Bush was a gangster and a son-of-a-bitch, but he was our son-of-a-bitch. Bush even stood up to AIPAC, denied Israel their blackmail money, and actually went on TV to declare that it was “little old me against a thousand Jewish lobbyists on Capital Hill.”

He actually said the J-word. He actually named the Jew during a national press conference – that he called specifically to complain about Jew lobbyists working for Israel!

Even if he did kill JFK, well, maybe JFK needed killing for some reason. I don’t know.

Of course I don’t really believe any of what I just wrote, but I kind of wish I did because it’s emotionally resonant. I would just feel better about the country if it were still run by intelligent, competent, classy WASPs like George H. W. Bush.

Too bad about his sons, though.

I feel strange saying so, but I also kinda liked Bush I. The image, at least, of a stable, competent, intelligent, man with a spine and a “vision” (however sinister it may have been) was actually very appealing.

Of course, it was all insidious bullshit, but one gets the feeling that the Empire was a more serious, formidable force back then. Today, everything is suffused with the stench of decay and rot, even the highest levels of the global conspiracy. These people can no longer even put up an intimidating front. It takes away all of the fun in beating them. And that’s the great tragedy of it all: whatever is coming in the next decades is going to rough and miserable as hell.

There’s definitely no more fun or joy on the horizon.

Bush I was seemingly the peak of US Empire. I also tend to think that while Reagan always got the credit for the fall of the Soviet Union, it was always Bush behind the throne, so to speak, and he neither got the credit nor even reaped the benefit of his victory.

I also think that Bush I’s class suffered from enormous hubris and in many ways, Bush I, and his entire faction, seemed to be almost super-villains. If even a quarter of the rumors of Bush Sr. CIA blackmailing activity is true, it’s super-villain status. It makes a character like Jeffrey Epstein look like a piker. I know many people will brush that stuff off as a “conspiracy theory” but there’s just so much smoke it’s hard to believe there’s no fire:

We’ll be enjoying Resistance butthurt for the rest of our lives – liberals are always outraged and crying about something that’s not going their way – and I look forward to growing manifestations of coalition breakdown. It’s already happening now if you know where to look. And seeing cuckservatives lose elections to minority lesbians carries its own entertainment value, of course.

Clownish and seemingly illiterate presidents like Obama, Hillary and Trump fit the 21st century demographic, just as ‘friendly, folksy, grandfatherly figure[s]’ fit that of the end of last century.

Romney’s persona certainly seemed anachronistic in an era where presidential debates look more like jersey shore altercations than anything you’d expect even Reagan, the actor, to get involved in.

If Trump and Obama had attempted to run three decades prior they would probably have adopted a public persona closer to that of 41 than to Whoopi Goldberg and Vince McMahon.

Did the elites just anticipate the shift in public opinion on what makes an electable leader or are there other explanations?

Whether it’s a deliberate program of an elite cabal or, more likely, just the need to get and hold people’s attention in an easily distracted society and reach an uninformed population on an emotional rather than rational level, I think we will continue to see the more overt merger of politics and entertainment. That isn’t a new phenomenon, but now they’re just blatant about it.

I, too, was beguiled for the longest time by his avuncular style. A fine actor, arguably better than Reagan. As cold as Hilary Clinton but more able at hiding it.

      @icareviews

About that article Don Logan posted:

Bush losing in 1992 was likely due to the media campaign against him. The economy wasn’t doing that badly, but all of a sudden there was constant talk of a “recession.” Ross Perot was the first time a third party candidate was given such media coverage and even allowed on the CBS/ABC/NBC debates.

Notice too that Jews were preparing for a Dan Quayle presidency. Quayle was a hated figure and a butt of jokes. But he was representative of the “Evangelical Christian” wing of the GOP, thus, “friendly to Israel.” Bush was a hate figure for this group, even though Reagan was beloved by them. This was due to some complicated domestic policy issues, but mostly it was due to two things: 1. Evangelical Christians are really, really stupid, and 2. the Evangelical Christian leadership were scam artists on the level of Amway salesmen. It’s hard to understand it now, but Televangelists were very popular and utterly despised by the other half of the population. Pat Robertson ran a semi-credible campaign for the GOP nomination. Evangelical Christians were 90% just typical retarded conservatives, but had some unity and initiative because of sex, specifically, abortion (I really should write about this because people misunderstand how that whole thing worked and how stupid and hypocritical Christians actually are.)

So of course the Jews hated George H. W. Bush, a competent, ruthless WASP power-broker firmly in the Realist School of foreign policy and an Arabist. He only picked Dan Quayle to be Vice President as a sop to the retarded Christians who distrusted him because Bush was intelligent (religious people hate intelligence.)

Ever notice how no other nations are constantly scheming against the USA like Israel is? The Jews even wrote an editorial in the Atlanta Jewspaper calling for the assassination of President Obama because he didnt’ want to bomb Iran for Israel. Has the Canadian intelligence services ever plotting to assassinate US presidents? Has the United Kingom, or France, ever openly called for the assassination of a US President.

Yet “our greatest ally,” the apartheid regime of Jew bigotry in Zionist-occupied Palestine, and their 5th Column of Jews residing in America, do all the time. Not to mention that whole 9/11 thing.

On Breitbart.com, there’s a hilarious mix of Trump-shills who hate Poppy Bush for being a “Republican in name only,” retarded Christians arguing over the details of who gets in Heaven, and when, and how long their bodies remain in the casket until Jesus flies them up into the air (I’m not joking, go read the thread) and of course not a single mention of what we mention here: the Zionist Jew hatred of Bush because he wouldn’t roll over for them.

Bush the Lesser, who clearly understood exactly what happened to his father, instead brought the Jews directly into his administration – then 9/11 happened, and the lies about Iraqi WMDs. It got so bad that Poppy Bush and his consigliere, James Baker, formed the “Iraq War Study Group” in 2004 to try to push the neo-con Jew traitors out of power.

Clinton defeated Poppy Bush largely due to Jew money and Jew media, within a few years the Israelis were openly blackmailing Clinton over his affair with the Jewess Monica Lewinsky. Bush the Lesser got in with help from the neo-cons, only to be stabbed in the back via 9/11 and Iraq. Obama was a creation of the Jew establishment in Chicago, then when he showed a tiny bit of spine over Iran, the Jews started openly calling for his assassination.

And who was there spreading all of those “birther” conspiracies against Obama and trying to undermine America’s Iran deal? That’s right, media celebrity reality TV actor Donald J. Trump, his Israeli family, and Mossad son-in-law.

Now you know why the Bushes hated the Trumps, and why the CIA hates Trump. It’s because Trump is Mossad. The Trump administration is literally the takeover of the American presidency by Israel. The Prime Minister of Israel now gives direct orders to his puppet, Trump, via Mossad agent Jared Kushner.

Netanyahu says “jump” and Donald Trump asks “how high, sir?” What a little bitch Trump is.

I see HW Bush as a tremendously significant figure because he’s the father of the current world order.

Quite the opposite. Here is my reading on G.H.W. Bush

    (1) Bush really believed that the end of Cold War would lead to disarmament. Remember the peace dividends and military bases closing?

    (2) Saddam Hussein is given green light to invade Kuwait under shady circumstances. Bush is arm twisted by Margaret Thatcher to go to war against Saddam Hussein. The war gives Bush the highest ever approval rating (90%) of any president.

    (3) Bush is pissed off with Israel that the US had to pay $600 millions to Israel just so Israel would not interfere in Iraq conflict and screw up the broad Arab coalition that Bush succeeded to organize.

    (4) Using his political capital after the war Bush wants to assert himself against Israel and Yitzhak Shamir by attaching conditions to funding for new settlements. No other president stood up to Israel like that since JFK. He wants to take a tough stand at Madrid Middle East peace conference. Allegation are made by Victor Ostrovsky that Mossad was considering assassinating Bush. Bush lost this battle because he had no guts to level with American people what was the issue about. This critical event went under the radar for most of Americans.

    http://ariwatch.com/OurAlly/FoiledAssassinationOfPresident.htm

    (5) Bush is deemed untrustworthy by the Lobby and a big risk to Israel as a second term president. Anti Bush campaign begins in NYT with weekly columns of Friedman and Safire. Bad economy meme is created.

(6). Useful idiot Ross Perot enters the race. The exact repeat of play from 1912 election when the incumbent Taft was denied reelection by the third party run of Teddy Roosevelt to elect Wilson. Clinton is elected and just like Wilson does everything Wall Street wants. Clinton deregulates banking and sets the course for the neoliberal globalization.

I find it interesting that Trump actually complained about the Fed raising interest rates to “cool down” his recovery. It’s a bipartisan taboo to criticize the Fed or to “politicize” it (as if central banks aren’t inherently political!) But of course the media did its best to simply ignore Trump’s talk about the Fed, essentially using “dynamic silence” to keep it from getting any traction.

Central banking is pure class war; central banks virtually always favor the rich over the poor, and any time workers start getting raises, the central bank “takes away the punch bowl just as the party is getting started.” Because when labor becomes more valuable, that is, by definition, “the economy over-heating.”

Whether or not Bush’s claim is valid is debatable, but given the acrimony between the camps it’s worth mentioning.

“Sitting down with the organization’s leaders, Rabin reportedly criticized the pro-Israel lobby for what he viewed as its role in pulling Shamir into such a bitter confrontation with a U.S. president, vowing it would not happen on his watch. Frankel wrote: “From now on, [Rabin] told them, Israel would drive its own relations with Washington, and AIPAC would be consigned to a back seat.”“
