Once Aryan Skynet Goes Live It Doesn't Matter Who Pulled The Switch
A few days ago I logged back into the “movement” internet sites after about a month long absence doing other things. I had missed a number of high profile “Alt Right” events.
Richard Spencer spoke at a state college in Michigan and the results were about what you would expect. Spencer applied to speak, the college refused, breaking well establishment First Amendment doctrine for public institutions. Kyle Bristow of the Freedom Foundation sued, and the college relented. The day of Spencer’s speech, “Antifa” and a bunch of students and non-students held a violent rally and attacked the handful of ostensibly “pro-White” or “Alt Right” attendees.
Certain groups, highly publicized by the media, like Matt Heimbach’s and Matt Parrott’s “Traditional Worker’s Party” showed up dressed in all black uniforms meant to evoke “neo-Nazis” – complete with armbands (but no plastic helments this time) – and “bravely” “confronted Antifa in the streets.” The mainstream media then, in a quite clever manner, blamed Spencer, TWP, and the other ostensibly “pro-White” side for the demonstration “devolving into violence.”
Which, if we are to be honest and not lie, is exactly what groups like the Traditional Worker’s Party hoped for. Proudly, they logged into social media and posted pictures and videos of their brawling with Antifa and students, gloating over their perceived victory. The media posted the same pictures and videos – and screenshots of their social media gloating – to illustrate the story of the violent, pro-Trump “Alt Right” and the “counter-protestors” typically described as “protesting hate and racism.”
It’s all become quite predictable at this point, a well choreographed event that has happened dozens of times since even before Trump ran for office. Everyone has their part to play, some arrests are made on both sides, and the violence is typically limited to some punches and perhaps a bloody nose or two. Other than the very high profile death of Heather Hayer at last year’s “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, supposedly by an “Alt Right protestor” driving his car into a crowd, that’s usually the end of it until the next time.
This time, however, one of Richard Spencer’s right hand men and co-host of his show was arrested by the police, and Spencer threw in the towel. In a youtube video shortly after the event, Spencer said he was cancelling his college tour, saying that Antifa was simply more willing to escalate the violence and they couldn’t trust the police to keep the peace. Kyle Bristow, perhaps the only actual attorney associated with the “Alt Right” decided to retire from the Freedom Foundation, announcing he was tired of being smeared in the press.
Thus came to head a long simmering fight between various factions of the “Alt Right.” Online properties like The Daily Stormer (DS) and The Right Stuff (TRS) had over the last few months openly feuded with Spencer, and especially Heimbach’s and Parrott’s Traditional Worker’s Party, questioning the wisdom – and the “optics” – of what they described as “goon marches.” Both – or perhaps all – sides argued over who was the true “Alt Right” to be credited for the media publicity of the term. One side accused the other of being “entryists” and “LARPers,” the other complained of their rivals being “keyboard warriors” unwilling to “take the fight to the streets.”
No one could have predicted a few days later the Traditional Worker’s Party would erupt into a sleazy personal scandal involving adultery and domestic violence, the consequences of which are only now starting to be understood by “movement” regulars. This writer predicts the next two years will feature non-stop media coverage of “Alt Right” violence, all tied to Trump, used as fodder in the coming Congressional elections and likely the Presidential elections in 2020. Many in the Alt Right, this writer predicts, will spend the next two years constantly in court, on both criminal and civil changes, all the salacious details likely being covered non-stop in the media.
In reviewing comments on all the major pro-White/Alt Right sites over the last week, one thing struck me as deserving commentary. The entire movement – in both its online and offline aspects – are full of people telling lies and spinning fantasy.
No group illustrates this more than the Traditional Worker’s Party. Having watched this group form and its founder, Matt Heimbach, begin his career half a decade ago, it’s shocking to me to read both Heimbach and his partner Parrott, tell some utter whoppers and spin some absolutely crazy fantasies, but seemingly, unrelated people holding forth on the history, that I witnessed myself, and describing things that I know aren’t true.
A typical example is a commenter on Stormfront lamenting the death of the TWP, saying that Heimbach had created an “effective White Student Union” during his time as a college student at Towson University and how it was a shame his “activist” career had been derailed. Having watched all the media coverage of Heimbach during that time, and following his story quite closely, I couldn’t help but react with a combination of shock and anger at this tall tale – something beyond a fantasy, an outright, bald-faced lie.
There never was any “White Student Union” at Towson University. It never existed. Matt Heimbach simply announced to the press he was going to create one. Presumably, he applied, but he never found a faculty sponsor, so it never happened. By nearly all accounts, the only activity of the “White Student Union” was Matt Heimbach – and one or two friends, neither of whom were students at Towson, just walking around campus a few nights, followed by media cameras, announcing they were on a “safety patrol” to protect [White] women from [Black male] violence.
No women were present.
By any objective standard, the entire media stunt made Heimbach look foolish and the media augmented the foolishness on screen with faux-concerned verbal worries about “hate” and “extremism.”
From this ridiculous beginning began Heimbach’s and his later group’s, Traditional Worker’s Party, years long “activist” career. Heimbach appeared in the media on a regular basis, being featured on ABC news in clownish, scripted, and even costumed scenes – shooting a gun here, lacing up his “skinhead boots” there, and giving quote after quote about “race war” and coming racial violence.
To say it played into the media’s beloved stereotypes of “White Nationalists” as hateful and violent – yet at the same time laughable and clownish – is an understatement. Yet online – and offline – there is a small but determined chorus of support for TWP’s “activism.” After years of the same routine, always heavily covered in the press, to this day there are still comments on the major online Alt Right and White Nationalist sites, while lamenting Heimbach’s presumed personal issues, praising his “bravery” and “dedication to the cause.”
The outright lies are one thing, the fantasies quite another. Heimbach and his right hand man Matt Parrott have constantly claimed they were doing “outreach” to working class Whites in the mid west, providing recovery for opiate addicts, running a “welding school” to help poor Whites get living wage jobs, and even distributing food to needy families – all patterned on successful groups like Greece’s Golden Dawn and even Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon.
But none of that was true, certainly there’s nothing even resembling evidence that any of this ever happened. Yet for years Heimbach and Parrott have been claiming to engage in these activities yet can’t point to a single concrete example of any of it, unless by “feeding needy families” they mean hanging out at BBQs with a few friends.
This writer feels justified in saying that it was all just a bald-faced lie.
But the fantasies are even worse than the lies. Because next to all the lies were constant fantasy talk, how “Trad Youth” was going to “organize the working class” to create “vanguard cadres” and even “build radical subcultures” always willing to “take it to the streets” to “defends Whites against Antifa” and the like. There’s a years long internet record of dozens – hundreds perhaps – of internet handles predicting a “great economic collapse” after which TWP’s “cadres” will somehow step in to take control of at least local communities, if not an actual White ethno-state carved out of some rural areas of North America.
This author feels completely justified in suggesting all that talk was just fantasy – if not a more precise term – “bullshit.”
Lest anyone think I’m taking sides, this writer has always been highly skeptical of another faction – that of Andrew Anglin’s “Daily Stormer” and Mike Enoch’s “The Right Stuff.” When I first discovered the sites a few years ago, I at first laughed at the trollish racist comedy of Daily Stormer and even appreciated some more serious ideas at The Right Stuff. But a year or so in, at least for me, the comedy grew pretty stale. Old enough to remember the founding of 4Chan’s /pol/ – or even Weev’s old Encyclopedia Dramatica – there was no new ground being broken here. Such “edgy” humor has been around forver, and is in fact, utterly mainstream. One wonders if mainstream comedians like Daniel Tosh sometimes post on Daily Stormer and The Right Stuff, a lot of his jokes being essentially the same kind of humor – just instead of being regulated to the backwaters of the internet, he’s broadcast on mainstream cable stations. As far as I know, the media doesn’t breathlessly scaremonger about “hateful racists” like Daniel Tosh when he’s mocking Blacks and Jews and playing up his “hipster racist” character to thousands of laughing Whites in Southern California.
In 2016, Richard Spencer’s National Policy Institute held a conference in Washington DC with luminaries of the pro-White movement like Kevin MacDonald, Jared Taylor, and Phil Brimelow. The speakers gave inspirational and informative talks about the situation Whites find ourselves in, and laid out a cautious, yet hopeful vision for the future.
Then, inexplicably, in an event that has been rehashed so many times I hesitate to bring it up again, Mike Enoch from The Right Stuff decided to give a “Nazi Salute” during Spencer’s closing speech which was caught on the cameras of The Atlantic, who had – just as inexplicably – been invited to film the event by Richard Spencer himself. Immediately, Spencer’s “Alt Right” went from a presumably new political movement, closely tied to the Trump campaign, that had promised at least some influence in the new administration and a future as at least a serious think tank putting out white papers to influence public policy – to a sinister “neo-Nazi” movement.
Half of the pro-White blogosphere denounced what was dubbed “Hailgate” only to be immediately “trolled” by denizens of the Daily Stormer and the Right Stuff, who posted comment after comment calling people “faggots” and half-jokingly, half-seriously, demanding that White men immediately embrace “Nazi” flags, uniforms, salutes, and even Adolph Hitler himself, or be a “cuck.”
For hours and even days at a time, denizens of these webistes – including some older movement veterans – held forth on the future of Whites being dependent on an embrace of not only the memory of Adolph Hitler and the NSDAP regime, but of 1960s media “activist” (and FBI informant) George Lincoln Rockwell. Time and time again, internet commenters claiming to be “youth” denounced those wary of such a “strategy” of being “boomers” and totally un-hip with the young.
In March of 2018, the same commenters from the Daily Stormer and the Right Stuff have decided that maybe an open embrace of “neo-Nazism” isn’t such a good idea and some have even decided to embrace, instead, an “American” White Nationalism, complete with cool “Alt Right” cartoons of George Washington in sunglasses – or Pepe the Frog with a Ben Franklin wig.
Likely, the massive de-platforming of sites like the Daily Stormer and the banning of hundreds of high profile (and not so high profile – like this author) from social media like Twitter prompted this change of “strategy” but one can’t help but wonder:
Wasn’t all of this easily predictable? As a recent article at the Occidental Observer put it, Why Hand Your Enemies A Club With Which To Beat You?”
I’m going to state a few of my opinions and open it up to the peanut gallery.
1. The vast majority of “Alt Right” and “White Nationalist” activists – from Matt Heimbach and Matt Parrott, to Andrew Anglin and “Weev,” to old stalwarts like Harold Covington and the majority of commenters at sites like Stormfront.org are, to put a fine point on it, liars that are full of shit. They lie through their teeth about what their “activism” actually entails and they do little but spin wild and ridiculous fantasies about the future of White people in North America – and the world – and how their “activism” is supposed to bring such fantasies about.
2. Credible, intelligent, and otherwise effective pro-Whites – like Kevin MacDonald, Jared Taylor, Paul Ramsey, and Peter Brimelow – are ill served by “the movement” in general and would likely be more effective by simply maintaining a distance – if not openly denouncing – what I call “clown groups” from the “neo-Nazis” of the NSM and Trad Youth, to the “online activists” like the Daily Stormer and The Right Stuff – no matter how big their audience appears be. (This is even more important considering that their major manager, “Weev,” has openly revealed that his previous career in managing “click bait” is how he measures success. The science of getting people to click on a link online is pretty well known these days: “You Won’t Believe These 10 Things You Can Do To Stop The Jews!” But as anyone can tell you, online traffic can be high quality – in the sense it actually closes a deal – or empty traffic, gaining a eyeball for a second or two. Low quality internet traffic is essentially a multi-level marketing system, advertisers passing traffic from one spam site to another – using the same tactic that was called “the Greater Fool Theory” when playing “hot potato” with dot-com internet stocks in the 1990s.)
3. I wouldn’t be Hipster Racist and this wouldn’t be Aryan Skynet if I didn’t point out that a huge part of this “movement” is in fact run by Jews, Jewish groups like the ADL and the SPLC, and the FBI itself, One can see this constant trend by simply tracing the history from George Lincoln Rockwell in the 1960s, to Frances Cohen (alias “Frank Colin”) in the 1970s, to Andrew Greenbaum (alias “Command Wolfgang Hawke”) in the 1990s, to the FBI’s Hal Turner in the 2000s, to the Daily Stormer’s Joshua Goldberg (alias “Michael Slay”) from just a few years ago.
In closing, despite the critiques this writer gets online for being a “alt lite faggot cuck” and a “Divide and Conquer Hasbara agent” to the Right Stuff’s Mike Enoch (and presumably his former co-star of the Right Stuff, and his current Jewish wife Mrs. Enoch) saying I “may as well be a Jew” because I think “everything is a false flag” I gotta say, I’m fine with my role as a third rate blogger and constant skeptic of internet and media “activists.”
I think the vast majority of them are just play actors – LARPers – online and off. I view anyone that gets a lot of media attention, especially when it fits the anti-White narrative, with extreme suspicion. I cringe when I read people telling me that George Lincoln Rockwell was an “effective activist” or how we’re just a year or two away from “a total economic collapse” and a “massive race war” or that whatever happened 75 years ago during Adolph Hitler’s NSDAP regime in Germany is somehow relevant today.
You may read this as a “Black Pill” – and I am pretty damned “Black Pilled” about the “Alt Right” of Richard Spencer and the “White Nationalism” – 1.0 or 2.0 – of everyone from Daily Stormer/Right Stuff to Derek Black’s Stormfront.org. I’ve never really been a part of their movement.
But I’m still pretty damned “White Pilled” when it comes to the future of White people. Believe it or not – we’re not going anywhere. In North America, White people will rule the USA and Canada for my lifetime, the lifetime of my children, and I suspect even the lifetime of my grandchildren. What happens after that is up to future generations.
But I gotta say, I’d really rather laugh along with “hipster racists” like Daniel Tosh than engage in paranoid fantasy – and utter bullshit – of “the movement.”
I’ve just never really been part of it, and having observed it over the last few years, can’t say I have much interest in it. I’ll skip the labels and just be “pro-White.”
