Once Aryan Skynet Goes Live It Doesn't Matter Who Pulled The Switch
The mainstream narrative would have it that, with Trump’s inauguration, a hell of jackbooted totalitarianism was unleashed across the country, scenes from Punishment Park exploding into actuality as neo-fascist Immigration and Customs Enforcement shock troops crack skulls and round up the innocent displaced browns en masse. Trump is literally attempting to ban Muslims from entering the country, as well – or so we are told – but is the administration really serious, as so many of his diehard supporters believe, about preserving the demographic balance of the U.S.?
“Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said he is ‘very disappointed by the lack of action’ President Trump has made on reversing Obama-era policies on undocumented immigrants such as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program,” The Hill reports.
“Every day they are complicit it is harder to resolve,” he told The Daily Caller Thursday. “Is [Trump] going to force us to go back to court again?”
“Every day this has been a violation of the Constitution,” King added of former President Barack Obama’s executive orders on immigration. […]
President Trump has ordered a crackdown on undocumented immigrants who commit crimes and he is significantly boosting the number of border patrol and immigration officers and judges. And he has called for work to begin on the construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
On the campaign trail, Trump vowed to end DACA, but he has since spoken sympathetically of the young people who benefit from it.
“DACA is a very, very difficult subject for me,” he said in February, adding he wanted to approach the issue “with heart.”
“I have kids and grandkids, and I find it very hard doing exactly what the law says exactly to do, and, you know, the law is rough,” he said.
Trump’s behavior with regard to refugee resettlement is even more of a bait-and-switch. “President Donald Trump called Syrian refugees a ‘great Trojan horse’ during the 2016 campaign, but his administration has resettled them in a quicker pace than President Barack Obama did,” The Daily Caller’s Alex Pfeiffer adds. “‘Bad, bad things are gonna happen,’ Trump said about Syrian refugee resettlement at an August rally.”
“It has been 4 weeks since President Trump announced his 120-day ‘moratorium’ on refugee resettlement as part of the court-halted Executive Order,” fumes the indefatigable Ann Corcoran at Refugee Resettlement Watch. “And, for the umpteenth time, I repeat that the President did not have to even announce any ‘moratorium’ or put it in an Executive Order! He has the power to simply stop the processing!” She continues:
Then on March 30th we were stunned to learn that they were aiming to bring in 900 refugees a week through the remainder of the fiscal year that ends on September 30th.
If he and Tillerson keep that pace they will admit around 60,000 this year which is near the average number we have admitted since 9/11.
Do they think we are not watching?
George Bush loved refugees and he averaged under 60,000!
Sure enough, according to Wrapsnet in the last week, from April 6th to today (April 13th) they have admitted 977 refugees in ONE WEEK!
It was yesterday that I noticed Trump had passed the 40,000 mark (it was 40,180 this time yesterday morning) [i.e., for the fiscal year]. […]
Have you noticed that there are fewer news stories about the refugee contractors screaming bloody murder about Trump (and their loss of federal bucks) in the last week or so? I have. Has the word gone out to shut up for awhile?
