A Hitler for the Eighties

Competition is fierce in the struggle – the eternal kampf – to seize the iron laurels of New Hitler status. Muammar Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Vladimir Putin, Bashar al-Assad – each has in turn thrust his arm at the sky and hailed the noontide of his destiny.

Gaddafi

“Screw Michael Jackson. I’m Hitler as fuck.”

What about the big hair decade, you ask? Much as Billy Idol or – good God – even David Lee Roth would have relished being crowned New Fuhrer for the nineteen-eighties, these Wotanic dreams were to be gloomily dashed against the crags.

This was, after all, the decade that would see Scarface explode into a pop-cultural prophecy; Miami Vice was on the air, the Beach Boys were playing their sax-drenched paean to romantic getaways in the Caribbean, and so it was inevitable that Hitler reincarnated for the MTV generation would pack his swastika flag and head someplace where the weather was sexy, the women were brown, and cocaine misted the tropical air like clouds of Zyklon B.

Drink in his hand and toes in the sand, New Hitler materialized with a tan and set up shop as the narco-dictator of Panama under the nom de guerre Manuel Noriega, who came to power with CIA sponsorship but bit his master’s hand with increasing displays of political independence.

Noriega

“You all a bunch of fuckin’ assholes. You know why? You don’t have the guts to be what you wanna be. You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin’ fingers and say, ‘That’s the bad guy.'”

What was the real motivation behind Panamanian regime change? Barbara Trent’s 1992 documentary The Panama Deception makes a compelling case for ulterior motives involving imperialism and the Panama Canal, while John Perkins of Confessions of an Economic Hitman fame offers further speculation at the sixteen-minute mark in this interview; but to look for the truth is to miss the point and the charm of the New Hitler phenomenon.

This is about the ritual evocation of evil – the periodic and spiritually hygienic mass exorcism of the Hitler waiting to be manifested in every living or inanimate thing or idea that risks discombobulating Jewish sensibilities. Newspapers and television, the decade’s adepts and oracles in the arcana of New Hitler divination, were quick to sprinkle and bless the blood and guts of their priestly craft in the treatment of the buildup, execution, and aftermath of the American invasion of Panama in December of 1989.

Georgie Anne Geyer of Universal Press fretted in 1986 that “there is evidence that the Noriega group has been plotting to kill one of the finest men in Panama, Roberto Eisenmann, publisher of the courageous and singularly independent newspaper, La Prensa.” Geyer then went on to bristle that “The United States, with all of its power in Panama, certainly has options open.”

“Panama’s troubles,” wrote Reid Miller of the Associated Press in 1987, were “marked by mysticism and anti-Semitism.” General Noriega, Miller informed his readers, “is said by associates to seek guidance from Haitian spiritualists and wears an onyx ring to ward off harmful spirits.” The irrational atmosphere of hatred stirred up by the narco-dictator in his brainwashed masses of minions was surely to blame for these experiences of Panama’s Jews:

The local chapter of B’nai B’rith said Jews had been the target of “accusations, criticisms and intimidatory threats bearing extraordinary similarity to those used in Nazi Germany.”

B’nai B’rith offered no examples but said “both right and left have mentioned Jews in their political arguments, using slogans and clichés of the most shameful anti-Semitism.”

Noriega Salute

“Now that’s what I call the motherfucking psyop.”

Noriega’s personal effects – his Nazi regalia – did not disappoint when his compound was finally raided two days before Christmas in 1989. As AP confirmed, the U.S. Southern Command had chased a bona fide Hitler-Satan out of its hiding place in the belly of this banana reich:

American troops who stormed Gen. Manuel Noriega’s quarters found photographs of Adolf Hitler and Mother Teresa, a voodoo witches’ brewery and a packet of cocaine wrapped in a banana leaf, U.S. officers say.

The ousted dictator’s homes and offices also contained items ranging from [anti-Semitic totems commonly called] Christmas trees to high-powered arms as well as a collection of pornography […]

A bucket in an upstairs bathroom of one house was filled with a rusty-red looking substance identified as blood. An officer said he did not know what kind of creature the blood came from or what it was used for.

Officers said soldiers who burst into the house on the first day of U.S. intervention here Tuesday narrowly missed capturing four voodoo witches from Brazil. […]

The general’s office in Panama’s military barracks at Fort Amador had two display cases containing plastic frogs, electronic toys such as a video wristwatch and framed pictures of Hitler, Mother Teresa, and Libyan leader Moammar Ghadafi. His downtown office was adorned with Christmas trees, more electronics and more frogs.

Pornography was found at both offices […]

And so the nifty nineteen-eighties could finally be laid to peaceful rest, their Hitler having been deprived of his self-adulatory framed portrait, porn stash, and millions of emaciated frog victims of Mengele-like experiments which would, otherwise, inevitably have served as the prelude to the real thing.

On the old blog we used to call it “Hitler the X.” Saddam Hussein was Hitler the 12th, then Slobodan Milosevic was Hitler the 13th, then Saddam Hussein was Hitler (again) the 14th, Osama Bin Laden Hitler the 15th, etc.

While the Jewish angle is clearly a part of it, it’s mostly due to the fact that Germany was the last real enemy America fought. Sure, Japan was a formidable foe, but the Germans really set the standard.

Since World War II, most of America’s wars have been fought against helpless third world civilian populations. Bombing whole cities full of women and children like they did in World War II tends to make USA look bad, so now they generally just train death squads to do the dirty work.

In Korea and Vietnam USA used to actually conscript average White American Joe, but TV coverage of that war, and “the Sixties,” ended all that, as the average American family wouldn’t put up with it anymore.

So since the end of the draft it’s been death squads, mercenaries, civil wars, and now drone bombing – an Obama specialty. Our “New Pearl Harbor” – September 11, 2001 – surprisingly didn’t work as well as was intended – the protests against the invasion of Iraq were the biggest anti-war demonstrations in history, and they happened even before the war began. By the time the US was massacring women and children in Fallujah, the public had had enough and even the right wing conservatives (Murka’s dumbest demographic) were starting to have second thoughts.

I always thought Latin America is a good place to understand US imperialism because the Israel lobby isn’t particularly involved. Sure, there may be some Jewish business interests, but they don’t play any particularly different role than the non-Jewish business interests in the area. Latin America is where the USA’s true imperialist character can be seen and where America really shows what it is.

What is America? A business empire that relies on death squads, torture, massacres of women and children, and as has been said, a version of “democracy” that is “top down” – meaning, America is a mercenary empire that does the bidding of whichever foreign wealthy elite pays them.

You can always predict the kind of tactics the US Empire will use on its imperial subjects by noticing what tactics the US Empire uses on its original subjects – Americans themselves.

No one should have been surprised when the Imperial Forces had Noriega surrounded in some church and they started blaring lights, blasting rock music and the sounds of animals being slaughtered, 24 hours a day, to prevent his soldiers from getting any sleep.

The Empire had already perfected such tactics by using them on their “own citizens” at the Branch Davidian church in Waco, Texas, in 1992.

The strategy of the Empire can also be understood by simply looking at the targets. Noriega was a loyal henchmen of the Bush family’s drug cartel, until he lost his usefulness, thus had to be taken down. It was quite a stretch justifying the takedown of Noriega – sure, Reagan had convinced conservative Republicans (America’s biggest suckers) that “the commies” were just a day’s drive from the borders of Texas, so we had to fund the Contra death squads to murder women and children that might vote for the wrong party in El Salvador.

But Noriega was “our son of a bitch” so they just mentioned that he was a a drug dealer and that was justification enough. If we don’t take down Noriega, little Johnny and Sallie will become cokeheads, or something to that effect. You don’t want to make it too believable, because you need the targets of the propaganda to willingly suspend disbelief. This, ironically, makes the propaganda more effective. Like the X-Files’ Fox Mulder, you want them to WANT to believe.

Of course, I have the timing reversed there; Waco came after the invasion of Panama, but I don’t think it really changes the point.

Slight correction: Noriega was captured in 1990. The Waco siege didn’t occur until 1993. I think the subjugation techniques tend to play out overseas first, then back at home rather than vice versa. Germans were demoralized with Holocaust propaganda immediately after the war, being made to march to Buchenwald, for instance, to view the human skin lampshade, shrunken head, and other ghoulish artifiacts; whereas saturation-level Holocaust browbeating didn’t begin in America until a few decades later.

At the recent NPI conference, a speech by (I think) Sam Francis on Southern Identity made the point that Dixie was really the first nation to be subjugated by the Yankee Empire (unless you count the various Indian nations I guess.)

The invasion of the Philippines was sort of used to bring the two sides back together, North and South united against the “niggers” of the Philippines . Mark Twain famously wrote about America’s attitudes during that time period. The tactic of “total war” used on the South was then used against the Filipinos.

I suppose that if Jeb Bush were to be President, we’d see the Latinization of the USA accelerate. Many have predicted that the USA will undergo “Brazilification.” Instead of America’s traditional racial system, a strict racial dividing line between Black and White, we’ll see a gradual racial system with no sharp lines between groups. In Brazil, the elites are blonde haired and blue eyed, the middle is browner, with black Africans at the very bottom. This has basically already happened in California.

As Sailer points out, slightly brown men who distinguish themselves and get money and power will, of course, want to marry an Aryan woman, thus “improving his race.” (The La Raza types actually use this phrase.)

Whites will survive, but our traditional American English/Protestant culture will be no more and likely we’ll all be speaking Spanish.

Of course the conservative Republicans (America’s most pathetic people) will be too busy looking under their beds for ISIS terrorists to notice. I tried to make this point in my “Great Con” series but I didn’t do a particularly good job.

I’m liking this Latin America series, as I said, US policy in the area isn’t particularly influenced by the Israel lobby, unlike in the Middle East, so it works as a sort of “control group” to understand what’s really going on. If all the Jews made aliyah tomorrow and left for the apartheid regime of Jew bigotry in Zionist-occupied Palestine, I wouldn’t think US imperialism in Latin America would change all that much.

Also, White Identitarians really should understand that it is not in our interests to overthrow brown populists like Hugo Chavez. You made the point recently that US imperialism is a lot of what drives the mass mestizo immigration to the US.

I remember when the “North American Union” was still considered a “conspiracy theory” as opposed to pretty much open policy.

We also need to understand that we really do live in a global system now, and old fashioned style nationalism is probably not coming back. Instead of White Nationalism we might want to think in terms of White Internationalism.

For me, the term “white nationalism” implies internationalism. I understand it as a conception of “nation” as a race, the same way “Israel” or “Zion” with all of its sayanim is more than just a geographical designator.

As for imperialism in Latin America, I think you’re basically right, except that I wouldn’t totally write off the Zionist dimension of Jewish/American meddling in these countries. What’s playing out in Argentina right now, for instance, is very Zio-oriented in addition to being a boon for Wall Street financiers.

That may be a key distinction, but I’m not sure. I don’t think that if the Jews all disappeared tomorrow, White Americans would become some benevolent “White Man’s Burden” overseers of the Global Plantation.

I see Jews as basically a parasite on White/European culture, but I don’t think the parasite changes the basic nature of the host, I just see the parasite as changing the focus at key points.

So, for instance, the Black Nationalists are right that Jews were a main driver of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, but I don’t think the Jews were a necessary nor sufficient factor. I have no doubt that Whites would have engaged in the slave trade even if they were free of Jewish influence, but there’s no question that Jew parasitism influenced it quite a bit.

It’s an open question as far as I’m concerned.

Argentina has a huge Jewish population. Miles of pawnshops down one of the CBD avenidas (I can’t remember which). People who don’t know about Jews and Argentina should check out Salbuchi. It’s helpful to understand the OKC bombing and other local “terror” events.

Thanks for jogging my memory. I rewatched The Panama Deception because I distinctly remember a point raised in the documentary but missed in the otherwise excellent analysis, ie. the field trial of new weaponry (40:00 in the embedded film). Is this tinfoil?
