Struggle Sessions at Starbucks HQ
H/t to Spandrell, Starbucks founder Howard Schultz conducted some struggle sessions for his HQ employees.
It’s the usual suspects, saying the usual things. The one speaker who is not black, fat, or gay, a normal looking white woman, timidly suggests we should try to understand police officers too, with many qualifications of course. I wonder how much longer she has a job for.

I like fast cars, fast women and southern-fried rock. I have an ongoing beef with George Orwell. I take my name from a character in Plato's "Republic" who was exasperated with the kind of turgid BS that passed for deep thought and political discourse in that time and place, just as I am today. The character, whose name means "fierce fighter" was based on a real person but nobody knows for sure what his actual political beliefs were. I take my pseudonym from a character in an Adam Sandler song who was a obnoxious jerk who pissed off everybody.

This is rich. Howard Schultz, a fanatical Jewish Zionist that gives money to racist Jewish settlers in Palestine, is lecturing his working class White employees about “racism.”
Now that is chutzpuh!

I had a friend who was raised in China during the communist take over years of the 1950’s and 60’s. He told me that as the communist consolidated their power they would organize town meetings. In the meetings they would invite people to stand up and express their feelings. They said they wanted input from the people to help them build a better society. This was called this the “singing bird” technique. Later at night the people who had stood up and spoken would be rounded up and either murdered or sent to the camps.

brilliantly diabolical
As some commenter on this article said, this is like a “hostile workplace” lawsuit waiting to happen.

I’m still waiting for a World Star Hip Hop video of an oppressed Trayvon attacking a barista for not being deferential and apologetic enough when prompting a discussion on race.
