Once Aryan Skynet Goes Live It Doesn't Matter Who Pulled The Switch
For the uninitiated, one of the preeminent men-o’-war of the manosphere is a talented young fellow named Matt Forney. Witty, energetic, and remarkably well-read, Forney is an intermittently fantastic writer and hosts one of the internet’s most diverting podcasts. His enemies know him as a troll, and he is famous for his studiedly insulting prose. However, in addition to offending feminists for a living, Forney has also been accused – for instance, by Miss Andry at Hail to the Gynocracy! – of “shilling for the racist right.”
Miss Andry’s accusation is based on the fact that Forney wrote a favorable review of Jared Taylor’s latest book, Face to Face with Race. “Let’s just be honest: everyone hates blacks,” Forney nonchalantly shocks in his endorsement of the book, before going on to compare lazy, welfare-dependent blacks to bloodsucking parasites.
“I think race is going to become more important in coming years,” Forney said in answer to a listener question during a live podcast in 2014. “Feminism really is an upper middle class bourgeois issue. It has virtually no relevance to the lower classes of any race. [. . .] Lower class, working class, poor white trash don’t have to worry about feminism. It’s not an issue for blacks, it’s not an issue for Latinos, it’s not an issue for Asians.”
“And what’s going to happen in the next few years is, we’re going to see multiculturalism taking center stage as, at least in the U.S., the Democrats are going to become the party of Latinos and blacks and Asians and Republicans are going to become the party of white people. [. . .] So, basically, feminism is going to recede and multiculturalism and race are going to take central stage. It’s going to be a brown and black Left versus the white Right, and the white Left is [. . .] going to get broken up and assimilated into one of the two issues.”
But if Forney is willing to acknowledge race as the rising conflict of the twenty-first century, what is the commitment of this avowed free speech advocate to the open address of these concerns? Perhaps an indication may be had from the fact that Forney deleted this writer’s following remarks as “spam” in the comments section under one of his podcast episodes:
Catholicism is definitely a mixed bag psychologically. Politically, however, the Church is at best an occasional and noncommittal ally, and at worst the most obsequious of the enemy’s toadies. At present, with bishops openly and boastfully participating in the demographic displacement of whites in America, and with even the pope himself speechifying like a naked Marxist, the Church’s internationalist character and humanitarian traditions have plainly been weaponized for mass destruction by the (other) Cathedral.
Forney must have been in liberation theology mode on that particular day. A cartoon of Muhammad sucking a dick is apparently a value-adding contribution to the discussions on his website; but critique of the Church’s racial politics? Utterly frivolous spammery.
Quick as he is to take a dump on black sensibilities, Forney shares Jared Taylor’s reluctance to be so bold with regard to the Jews. Characterizing congoids as a parasitic attachment on the United States is acceptable speech in the Forneysphere, but to suggest something similar about organized Jewry is to earn Forney’s “Nazitards” epithet. Criticism of elite Jewish hostility is for Forney only so much “whining of ‘teh Joooooooos are EVUL!’” (because no opponent of Judaic hegemony knows how to write correctly). Reviewing Samuel Crowell’s The Gas Chamber of Sherlock Holmes, Forney claims that Crowell’s assertion “that racism, anti-Semitism, chauvinist nationalism, or group hatreds of any kind are incompatible with a just and life-affirming approach to our brief and contingent human existence” constitutes “a necessary corrective to the legions of mouth-breathing Nazitards who deny the Holocaust happened”.
Left-libertarian, ANC Report podcaster, and constant critic of the KKKops Ry Dawson, who has acknowledged the falsity of the “Holocaust”, would no doubt be greatly surprised to discover his membership in “the legions of mouth-breathing Nazitards” – as would Jewish “Holocaust denier” David Cole. Clearly, to acknowledge such figures as these would be to deviate from the pat definitions and dismissive labels in Forney’s script.
Predictably, Forney also endorses the government-issue conspiracy theory that cave-dwelling Arabs outsmarted NORAD four times in one day and brought down three steel frame skyscrapers with two planes and kerosene fires. “Paranoia is narcissism,” according to Forney, and this is “the reason why conspiracy theories tend to be popular amongst nerds and other social outcasts.” In any event, “9/11 is ancient history,” Forney explains, adding, “I don’t give a shit about the victims’ families.”
Forney’s inconsistent flirtation with racialism recalls the blogger Countenance’s comments on the right turn libertarianism took during the years of the Rothbard-Rockwell “Redneck Outreach” and notorious Ron Paul newsletters:
That was part of about a decade (1989-1997) of a putsch on the part of right-libertarians where they took on the veneer of white racial rhetoric in order to try to sell libertarianism to white racial thinkers and activists. They never had any intention on being serious racialists, they just wanted to sell libertarianism. When the project didn’t yield the results they wanted, they just quit and went back to all race denial all the time.
However, the particular damage of this project was that it got a whole bunch of white racial activists supporting to the point of fanaticism Ron Paul’s political ambitions, because they remember the newsletters, and they somehow got it in their heads that Ron Paul was/is secretly one of us, when he never was.
Sensing a shift in the winds going into the new millennium, Lew Rockwell decided to switch marketing strategies, flushing the rightist-racialist tendency down the memory hole and replacing it with a more polite and presentable repertory of anti-fascist rhetoric. One senses a similar lack of conviction in Forney’s attitudes.
In view of his prognostication that “feminism is going to recede and multiculturalism and race are going to take central stage”, could Forney’s flirtation with racialists be merely an upmarket manosphere variation on Ron Paul’s implementation of Rothbard’s “Redneck Strategy”? Could he be merely reserving his ticket to ride that particular bandwagon if necessary, and hoping to snag a few book sales from white nationalists without alienating his Jewish business affiliations by going all the way? Is Forney, in other words, hedging his bets, and can a man who self-describes as an “online hustler” possibly be above such disingenuousness? As he writes in his essay “Nobody Gives a Fuck About You”, “you have a near-infinite license to remake yourself.”
In a moment of seeming ethnonationalistic access, Forney in Episode 53 of his podcast railed against the reality of non-white immigrants “ethnically cleansing” native Europeans and further asked, “Where is the American equivalent of the [nationalist] Sweden Democrats or the National Front or the Golden Dawn?” (Forney must not be aware that the paranoiacs of Golden Dawn are, according to his own cosmology of social-political classifications, conspiracy-obsessive outcasts, nerds, and mouth-breathing Nazitards.) If his audience is expected to buy the idea that this self-proclaimed “online hustler” is so sincerely disturbed by the demographic decline and displacement of Europe, why then, one must ask, is he not promoting specifically white family creation?
Like his fellow manospherean pick-up artistry advocates, Forney seems as eager to exploit women’s moral degeneration as to work toward some correction of it. Forney, furthermore, does not limit his sport to white women, but proudly promotes miscegenation. After a stint of extended sex tourism in the Philippines, Forney returned to the States to sing the praises this Third World Xanadu and its ample opportunities for wasting white seed in the sewers of broad-nosed, tan-skinned Manila street vamps. “If you can’t get laid, go to the Philippines, and if you can’t get laid in the Philippines, kill yourself, I’m dead serious.”
Forney’s known associates include anti-racist and hyper-capitalist mischling Aaron Clarey, a.k.a. Captain Capitalism, and androgynous mongrel and congoid booty enthusiast Mark Zolo, unconfirmed as an uncredited extra in Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” music video. Clarey, an antinatalist who has expressed admiration for Judaism, is also a regular sponsor of mattforney.com and The Matt Forney Show. This might be worth bearing in mind in consideration of Forney’s mitigated forthrightness with regard to the “Holocaust”, “conspiracy theories”, Jewish power, and other areas in which Forney disappoints. He has been perceptibly tainted by Clarey’s “Enjoy the Decline” ethos, which bears some affinity with cannibalistic neocon Zio-catamite Dennis Miller’s recommendation of passively “living from the inside out” as the West collapses.
“Spread the good gospel of Matt Forney and we will change the world,” he says at the end of Episode 53. Change it how, one might ask? By making Matt Forney a richer man, of course. While he evinces many of the qualities that identitarian advocacy will require in its impresarios and its publicists – he is young, forceful, charismatic, intellectual as well as pop-literate – he lacks the seriousness of heart and devotion, and mostly just wants to make a buck. Ultimately, what Matt Forney is propagating and peddling is not white nationalism lite, but quite simply the product known as Matt Forney. Examine the smaller print on the label and one racial concept leaps at the buyer. This is defeatism.
