Once Aryan Skynet Goes Live It Doesn't Matter Who Pulled The Switch
Thanks to Hipster Racist for inviting me to post here. For those of you not familiar with me, alias Steve Polychronopoulos, aka Thrasymachus, I blog about politics and culture at Deconstructing Leftism, and religion and culture at A Cry in the Dark.
Neo-reactionary intellectuals classify me as an “ethno-nationalist”, which is cool with me, or you might call me a nationalist or a fascist. In the 1950’s I would have just been a conservative, anti-communist Democrat, but the world has changed a lot, so that a respectable working man’s politics and culture are now a great evil. I personally prefer the term phalangist, after the Spanish nationalist party of the 1930’s. I can’t say I consider myself a “white” nationalist, because I regard most meaningful conflict as between groups of white people, divided partly by class and partly by ethnicity. One group has recruited non-Europeans as foot soldiers but they are not the primary enemy.
Religiously I am some kind of Christian, I think, but I’m not sure what kind. Progressive Christians classify me as a filthy evil heretic or evildoer but I gave up caring what they think when I was about 14.
Existentially- the critical, and only really important part- I am a “truthist”, that is to say I am in favor of whatever is the truth. My father was a scientist and my mother an educated person, and on one level they believed the search for truth was very important. This appealed to my rational nature, but they also as post-Vatican II liberal to progressive Catholics believed things that were obviously untrue- generally in the virtue of the poor and the absolute necessity of a pacifist approach to any bad behavior by poor people or others regarded as oppressed, who didn’t have to actually be poor.
The truth in all levels and forms- scientific, empirical, religious, ethical, and existential- is a valuable tool for dealing with reality at all levels- scientific, empirical, religious, ethical, and existential. It doesn’t always feel like it though, and sometimes people avoid the truth and substitute lies, or untruths.
Colonel Jessup said “You can’t handle the truth!” and maybe he was right. But we need to have as much truth as we can handle, and a little more, just as a man training with weights lifts all he can handle, and a little more. We should seek the truth for ourselves and try to communicate it to others. The problem is lies are often comfortable, and leftists make use of this fact. They say since the truth is uncomfortable, to them or the people they are trying to control, it is actually bad, and their lies are actually good.
The problem they run into is that the truth is generally pretty obvious, even to a stupid person. So they come up with complicated explanations for why a lie is true, and threaten those who don’t go along. As time goes by and the façade becomes harder to maintain, the threats become more important. This is called “political correctness”.
The essence of leftism then is lies, communicated with hate. Lies that destroy people, lies that have destroyed many lives, and reduced cities to waste. The only antidote to this evil is the truth, not a less untruthful, qualified lie, and not some polite critique of the internal contradictions of the lie, which is what mainstream conservatism amounts to.
Since the truth is a hard, sharp and painful thing, it out to be delivered in a way most likely to do good to the recipient. The truth should ultimately benefit everyone. Ideally the truth should be delivered with love. Unfortunately to people addicted to lies, the truth delivered in any form sounds like hate. To people who want to maintain lies, the truth is actually evil.
For this reason my main concern is the truth, and secondarily delivering it with as much love as possible. I don’t care whether my opponents regard me as good or evil, so whether they see the love in the truth is not too important to me. And, the truth is love, on the highest level. To tell the truth is to exhibit love of God, who is the truth, love of the truth, and love of the person hearing the truth, whether they like it or not.
Human integrity- the value and respect of human beings, their physical and spiritual well-being- is dependent on the truth. Lies destroy, and this destruction is evil. Lies are repulsive and stupid, too, no matter how they are dressed up. Some liars think that if they lie enough, long enough, the lie will actually become the truth, but the truth doesn’t work that way.
Telling the truth is hard, and here and now dangerous. But let’s tell the truth as much as we can, for the sake of our own human integrity, but more importantly for that of others.
